Who
Insider Art was established by longstanding Art Psychotherapists Malcolm Learmonth and Karen Huckvale. We have between us many years experience of working in art education, community arts, health and social services and as practising artists ourselves. We are both Health and Caring Professions Council registered practioners.
We have worked with may other Art Psychotherapists, and worked in collaboration with the NHS, Museums, Universities and community groups.
What
We provide independent Art Psychotherapy, Arts in Health projects, mentoring and supervision for practioners. We have run our popular 'Art in Mental Health: Art Therapy Foundation' course for many years.
Where
We are based in Devon, England, but have worked throughout the UK and beyond. Our courses are usually based in Exeter.
Why
Insider Art arose from a passion for working creatively with the arts and mental health. Feedback from our courses and projects shows our enthusiasm can inspire and enable others. We aim for creative, teaching and therapeutic efficacy founded on pragmatism, clear communications and good relationships.
